Learn to Create.

Unlike piano or sports, private art lessons for kids aren’t always seen as the norm—and visual art is often misunderstood. It's either seen as a magical talent you're born with, or reduced to simple crafts anyone can do. But talent is largely a myth, and real artistic skill comes from learning to see, think, and create with intention.

In these lessons, we focus on developing confidence, creativity, and visual thinking. Students learn the fundamentals—like observation, comparison, perspective, and colour theory—while also exploring their own ideas and personal expression. This isn’t craft time—it’s structured, skill-building instruction with room for imagination. Because creativity comes from knowing the rules—and learning how to break them with purpose.

In Home Private

Personalized, convenient, and led by your child’s imagination. Students explore their creative ideas with one-on-one guidance, developing skills and confidence without comparison or distraction.

In Studio Group

Art is more fun together! Students enjoy a lively, social atmosphere where they collaborate, share ideas, and work on both individual and group projects—building creativity and community.

Online

Learn from anywhere with the same fun, effective experience as in-person lessons! We meet over video chat, play interactive games, use a shared whiteboard, and I demonstrate using multiple camera angles. No driving required — just log in and play!

What to Expect in Lessons

These are art lessons—not crafts. Students develop real artistic skills through focused observation and creative exploration. We train the eye to notice details, compare shapes, and understand how light, shadow, and perspective create depth. Lessons cover the elements and principles of design, 1- and 2-point perspective, foreground/middle ground/background, and colour mixing using only primary colours plus black and white.

Students learn to observe and replicate what they see, while also being encouraged to imagine new worlds and express their creativity. We explore different art styles and dive into a bit of art history to inspire and inform each student's personal voice.

We love projects & sharing our art!
